There exists an informal category known as the "Top Fourteen" or "T14," which has historically referred to the fourteen institutions that regularly claim the top spots in the yearly U.S. News & World Report ranking of American law schools.
Does T14 matter for law school?
Attending a T14 becomes much less important after your first job. As I mentioned previously, where you attend law school will matter the most initially (i.e., to get your first job), but it won't matter forever.
